Scanning the political horizon
Here in Guernsey, it's sometimes easy to forget that the world is still very much in the grip of a global pandemic, that the UK and other major economies are facing the worst drop in their GDP on record, and that there's still no certainty over what a Brexit trade deal may hold, if indeed any deal can be agreed and ratified by the end of the year.

These might seem like distant problems to us here in our Bailiwick bubble, but all of these issues will affect our quality of life, as will other global issues such as climate change and biodiversity loss. How we respond to them - as a government and as a community - will shape Guernsey now and for the future. We have some crucial decisions ahead of us.
