About me

I'm a Guernsey girl originally, but I've lived, worked and studied in a number of different countries around the world as well. I came home for good in 2004 and threw myself back into island life.

I'm married to Rollo and we have four children: Tom (15), Zara (13), Theo (10) and Xavier (6). We're really lucky that our own parents and other family members are nearby, and are a big part of our life. We share our home with a loved one that we also help to care for.

My professional background is mainly in the creative industries - film, TV, theatre, radio, video, digital and the written word - predominantly as a producer. Lots of people know me from Specsavers, where I worked for around 15 years in the TV section of the Creative department.

I also play an active role in the community, volunteering and supporting charities, schools and the parish. I’m a keen walker and sea swimmer and I’ve played touch rugby for 20 years, representing Guernsey on many occasions.

My two oldest children are at Les Beaucamps High School (Tom is currently taking his GCSEs and intends to continue to the Sixth Form Centre in September) and my two youngest are at St. Martin's Primary School - for which I have served on the school committee for over a decade, and been very involved in the school community in various ways.

I manage my work-life balance (which is sometimes a bit lopsided towards work) thanks to the fantastic support of Rollo, who more than pulls his weight on the domestic side and is very understanding of the long hours I put in as a People's Deputy.
